CARMEN FUNG (SHE/HER)

Registered Physiotherapist
BSc, MPT
Pelvic Health & Orthopaedics

Carmen is a pelvic health and orthopaedic physiotherapist with a passion for helping people feel more confident and comfortable moving their bodies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Kinesiology from UBC, and completed her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University in Ontario.

Carmen’s journey into physiotherapy began with her own experiences as a young athlete navigating injuries. Growing up in Delta, BC, she played soccer, field hockey, and basketball. Carmen now keeps active through recreational tennis, skiing, hiking, running, and training for her first triathlon.

Her interest in pelvic health developed as she learned just how much conditions like pelvic pain and incontinence can affect quality of life. These issues are often brushed aside or normalized, but Carmen saw the meaningful impact pelvic health physiotherapy can have—and was motivated to pursue further training in this area. She especially enjoys working with pregnant and postpartum clients, offering support through all stages of their journey and helping them rebuild strength, resilience, and trust in their bodies.

Carmen takes an evidence-informed approach that combines movement, education, manual therapy, and techniques like IMS/dry needling. Her goal is to meet each client where they’re at and support them with care that’s both informed and empowering. She has pursued additional training through Pelvic Health Solutions, with coursework focused on incontinence, pelvic pain, the biopsychosocial model, and pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain. She has also completed additional training in IMS, clinical pilates, and osteoarthritis of the hip and knee.
